Early in the morning or near sunset is the perfect time to visit the local beach only 7 minutes away. A small trail takes you there.
It is not on any internet maps.

Klong Root Clear Water Canal
Enjoy Kayaking?
Only a few kilometers from your homestay is Klong Root. A beautiful clear lake for swimming and kayaking. Swimming is free and kayaking is only 300 baht for the entire day.
It is so amazing that Jurassic World: Rebirth's famous raft scene was filmed here.
Many other parts of the movie were filmed around Din Daeng Doi as well.
Sao Kao Cave and Blue Pools
Looking for local legends and adventure?
According to Thai legend, Naga the protective sea serpent lives in Sao Kao Cave and pool. The land, caves, and pools are sacred. Sala will tell you her own experience seeign Naga at the blessed pool.
When done exploring the caves, swim in the pools that are connected by hundreds of meters of underground underwater caves.
Backyard hike to the water inlet
Want a fun, easy hike through the jungle to the sea?
Right behind our home is a fun 1/2 kilometer hike through palm plantations to the local inlet where fishermen dock their long-tail boats before heading to the local markets. A really fun adventure at sunset.

Sala can help you pick out the freshest fruits, vegetables, Thai food, Thai drinks, southern Thai food, and Thai desserts.
These markets are where local people go everyday.

Sala's brother is a monk near Bangkok. She can help explain Buddhism to you.
You can meet our friend who is a monk at the temple and speaks excellent English.

We attend St. Agnes Catholic Church. It is a small but beautiful Church where everyone is welcome. Mass is held in both Thai and English.
